Went 1-1 last weekend on totals, trying to get my groove back in soccer, hope I can get back my mojo I had earlier. On to the card:
Portsmouth -0.5, -121 (2 units)
Wigan is one of the worst teams on the road in the EPL, and I expect that trend to continue tomorrow. They will be facing a Portsmouth team that has a chance to win their fourth game in a row at home, a club record in the EPL. They are also looking at clinching the 5th spot, good for a UEFA cup berth. Portsmouth are on a good roll at the moment, winning 4 of their last 6 games in the league. Wigan will most likely be without Koumas, Palacio and Siberski. I think Portsmouth at home will get the job done and take all 3 points against a pretty bad road team in Wigan, which isn't at full strength.
Fulham pk, -139 (2 units)
Fulham are in desperate need of points if they want to stay in the EPL next year. I think they understand the dire situation they are in and are hungry and desperate to take any points they can get. They will be facing a Derby team that is done for the year and can only play the role of spoilers. Derby I'm sure just wants the season to end as fast as possible, so they can concentrate on getting back to the EPL next year. A desperate Fulham team should be able to get a win here on the road, or at the very least get a tie and push the bet.
Arsenal -0.5, -136 (2 units)
Arsenal have a big game coming up next week against Liverpool in the CL, but they can't afford to look past Bolton this weekend. They have fallen from 1st to 3rd in the standings in less than a month. They are currently 6 points away from Manchester United at the top of the table and need to get maximum points to stay within reach. They should be able to get that against Bolton tomorrow, who have struggled immensely in the EPL ever since they Anelka left, where they have scored in just 5 of their last 13 league games. I expect Arsenal to get back on track here.
Aston Villa +1 and +1.5, +116 (2 units)
Aston Villa ML +978 (0.5 units)
Look ahead alert in this game for Manchester United. Sitting cozy with a 5 point lead over Chelsea in the EPL, I think Man United are going to be looking a little past this game tomorrow with their minds set on Tuesday against Roma in the CL. Expect Alex Furguson to rest some key players tomorrow (rumors are Ronaldo may not get the start) and the 1.5 goals look mighty tempting. The thing that scares me a bit is that Aston Villa have had a long history of not playing well at Old Trafford, but with Roma on their minds United might just get upset in this one. I'm taking a small shot at the ML here as well.
BOL to all this weekend.
